EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

Ph.D. degree in Engineering/ Technology: M.E./M.Tech. Degree in Engineering/Technology with 60% marks or 6.5  CGPA/CPI. 

Ph.D. Degree in Architecture (and allied areas i.e. Design, Planning, etc.):  Master’s degree in Architecture/Design/ Planning or its equivalent with 60%  marks or 6.5 CGPA/CPI.

Ph.D. degree in Computer Applications, Mathematics, Basic Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration/Management and Social Sciences:Master’s degree in Engineering/Computer Applications/ Mathematics/ Physics/Chemistry/Statistics/ Art/Humanities (English language teaching)/ Business Administration/Management and Social Sciences or M. Phil degree with first class or minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5) or equivalent and having a valid GATE score (only to claim award of scholarship/ fellowship/ assistantship) or NET qualified in the relevant areas or UGC/CSIR/NBHM  fellowship tenable from current year. Candidates applying for part-time and  external modes of registration do not require GATE scores or NET Scores or  UGC/CSIR fellowship.

ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY: 

A candidate should apply for full/part-time candidate on the prescribed form  on or before due date fixed for the same.

There is no age limit for the applicant.

RESERVATION/ RELAXATION: 

This will be for SC/ST/OBC/PH and other categories and shall be as per the Government of India norms in force from time to time.

The National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) is a technical institution funded by the Government of India, located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Founded in 1956 as Govt. College of Mining & Metallurgy with two engineering disciplines, mining and metallurgy, the institute is one of the oldest of its kind in India. Currently it is one of the 20 National Institutes of Technology, which have been accorded Institute of National Importance status by the NIT Act of the Indian Government.

The institute offers 2 undergraduate (B.Tech. and B.Arch.) and 2 post graduate programmes M.Tech. and M.C.A. in 11 engineering disciplines and architecture.
