B. Tech., M. Tech., MCA, MBA, B.Com (CA), M. Pharm, MS, B. A .LL. B. & LL.B. and Ph.D. programmes in its main campus in Thanjavur and B. Sc., B.Com, BBA, BCA, B. Ed., M. Ed., M. Sc., M. Phil and B. Tech. (CSE, ECE, EEE, IT) courses in its Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre (off-campus centre of SASTRA recognized by Govt. of India) in Kumbakonam. SASTRA does not offer any degree programmes in any other off-campus centre. Please bring to the notice of the admissions office if you find any misuse of SASTRA University’s name in any other locations. They are not approved by either the Govt. of India or by SASTRA University.
SASTRA University (Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy) is a deemed university in the town of Thirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India. Undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses are its focus.
It started in 1984 in the form of Shanmugha College of Engineering, since renamed as the Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy. It offers undergraduate and post graduate courses in Engineering, Science, Education, Management and Arts, including some Doctoral programmes. It is the first to get 'Deemed University status in Tamil Nadu. Srinivasa Ramanujam Center at Kumbakonam is affiliated to it.
