Presidency College University, Kolkata is a unitary, state aided university, located in Kolkata, West Bengal. and one of the premier institutes of learning of liberal arts and sciences in India. In 2002 it was ranked number one by the weekly news magazine India Today. Established in 1817, it is the oldest educational institution in India. It was founded by Raja Ram Mohan Roy, and a number of other eminent personalities of Bengal, such as Raja Radhakanta Deb, Maharaja Tejchandra Ray of Burdwan, David Hare, Justice Sir Edward Hyde East, Prasanna Coomar Tagore and Babu Buddinath Mukherjee.

  3. Physical-, Economic-, Human- and Practical Geography (for Arts students).
  4. Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (for Science students without Geography).
GEOLOGYObjective and short answer type questions on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of Class XII standard of WBHSC.
HINDIEssay, literary appreciation, comprehension, expansion in Hindi, grammatical questions.
HISTORYIncluded within the Model Question Paper.
MATHEMATICSMultiple choice type and comprehensive type questions on Algebra, Trigonometry, Co-ordinate geometry (2D), Calculus, differential equation, Probability theory and vector algebra.
PHILOSOPHYObjective and conceptual questions, summary and essay writing.
PHYSICSPart I: Objective (multiple choice) question.
Part II: Problems and short questions on Physics.
PHYSIOLOGYObjective (MCQ) on Biology (mainly on Human Physiology), basic numerical problems of Physics and Chemistry, elementary mathematics.
