Jadavpur University MPhil Admission
Applications are invited for admission to 2-year M.Phil (Day) courses (Session 2011-2012) in Economics, History, Philosophy, Comparative Literature, English, Bengali, Sanskrit, International Relations, Sociology, Women’s Studies, Cognitive Science.
Applications are to be made on-line through the University website www.jaduniv.edu.in or http://juadmissions.org on and from May 17, 2011. For other information please consult Information Brochure on the webpage. The last date for submission of form is June 8, 2011 till 3.00 pm. An applicant can apply for more than one subject if he/she is eligible. The application fee (including Rs.25/- as service charge of Bank) of Rs.125/- for one subject and an additional fee of Rs.100/- each for other subjects is to be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India by filling in the Pay-in-Slip. There is a helpline (No. +91-7384130712) facility available between 11.00 and 5.00 pm from Mondays to Saturdays. Admission of students under SC/ST/PD quota is as per rules. It is to be noted that Ragging is prohibited as per decision of the Supreme Court of India in Writ Petition No. (c) 656/1998.
Jadavpur University (JU) is an premier educational and research institution in India. It is located in Kolkata, West Bengal and comprises two campuses - the main campus at Jadavpur and the new campus at Salt Lake.
