Reservation Guidelines:
Admissions to Foreign Students
All candidates who are not Indian nationals are required to apply for admission to the course through the Foreign Students Cell at the University of Delhi.
Such candidates are not required to apply for the entrance test.

Reservation of Seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Candidates
22.5% of the total number of seats is reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (15% for Scheduled Caste and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes, interchangeable, if necessary).
Relaxation to the extent of 5% in the minimum marks will be given to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories to determine their eligibility for admission to the course concerned.

Reservation of Seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC)
27% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes subject to their fulfilling the following conditions:
The final score of the candidate should be not more than 10% lower compared to the last admitted General category candidate.
The candidate should possess an OBC certificate issued in the name of the candidate.
The caste mentioned in the OBC certificate should find mention in the Central list of OBCs available at http://ncbc.nic.in/backward-classes/index.html
The OBC certificate should mention that the candidate belongs to the non-creamy layer.
The certificate must be issued by the authority approved for the purpose.
If any seats reserved for OBC candidates remain vacant, the same will be made available to other category candidates in order of merit after adjustment of the supernumerary seats.
Reservation of Seats for CW Category
5% of the total number of seats in the course shall be reserved for Children / Widows / Wives of the Officers and Men of the Armed Forces including Paramilitary Forces, killed/disabled in action or attributable to duty or recipients of gallantry award. These seats shall be supernumerary.
Relaxation to the extent of 5% in the minimum marks in the aggregate will be given to the candidates of the below mentioned categories while determining their eligibility to the course concerned.
Widows / Wards of Defence personnel killed in action
Wards of serving personnel and ex-servicemen disabled in action.
Widows / Wards of Defence personnel who died in peace time with death attributable to military service.
Wards of Defence personnel disabled in peace time with disability attributable to military service.
Wards of Ex-servicemen / personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards.
(Above categories are also applicable for Paramilitary personnel)
In order to become eligible for the above concessions, the Children / Widows/ Wives of the officers and jawans etc. will be required to submit the certificate of educational concessions (in original) from anyone of the following authorities:
Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board
Secretary, Rajya / Zila Sainik Board
Officer-in-Charge, Record Office
First-Class Stipendiary Magistrate
Reservation of seats for Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates
3% of the total seats are reserved for the Persons with Disability. The seats shall be supernumerary.
Separate merit lists will be made for disabled candidates under the 3% quota. However, if the number of applicants for a course / institution exceeds the quota, a priority list of candidates will be prepared taking into account :
Score obtained in the qualifying examination for admission, and
Severity of the disability

4 Declaration of results of written test: June 29, 2011 (Thursday) by 16:00 hrs
5 Interview: July 2, 2011 to July 8, 2011
6 Declaration of final result: July 11,2011 by 16:00 hrs
7 1st Counselling and admission July 14, 2011 to July 16, 2011
8 2nd Counselling and admission: July 18, 2011 to July 20, 2011
9 3rd Counselling and admission (if required): July 21, 2011 to July 23, 2011

About Delhi University
The University of Delhi was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly. The first convocation of Delhi University was also held in the Assembly Hall in Old Secretariat Building which now houses the Legislative Assembly of Delhi, on 26 March 1923 with 750 invitees. Honorary Degrees were conferred on Lord Reading (Viceroy of India), Sir Md. Jahan and Sir Hari Singh Gaur, the first Vice Chancellor of the University.[3] Only three colleges existed then in Delhi: St. Stephens College founded in 1881, Hindu College founded in 1899 and Ramjas College founded in 1917, which were affiliated to the University. The University thus had a modest beginning with just three colleges, two faculties (Arts and Science) and about 750 students. The first college to move to the campus was St Stephen's in 1942, followed by Hindu, Ramjas and Commerce (now known as Shri Ram College of Commerce). There was Zakir Husain College also, The origin of the Zakir Husain College can be traced to the closing years of the 17th Century.
