ASSAM HIGHER SECONDARY RESULTS 2011

The results of Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate
examinations conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education
Council were declared today. In the Arts stream, 73.14
per cent candidates passed while in the science and commerce
streams, the per centage were 87.32 and 79.81 respectively.

Ananda Ram Baruah Academy of Bajali and Salt Brook Academy
of Dibrugarh grabbed most of the top positions the three
streams. The boys managed to outshine girls in the Science
and Commerce streams of the Assam Higher Secondary School
Leaving Certificate examination, results of which were
declared today. However, in the Arts stream, the girls
remained unbeaten.

The toppers of the Arts stream are:

In the ARTS Stream, TOTAL 1 lakh 86 thousand
688 appeared. Total 1 lakh 36 thousand 548 passed the
examination and the pass per centage is 73.14. Out of
the successful candidates 42 thousand 45 are male and
47 thousand 486 are female. Of this, 15 thousand 572 secured
first division, 43 thousand 379 secured second and 77
thousand 597 secured third division.

In the SCIENCE STREAM,
total 17 thousand 535 appeared the examination. Of them,
15 thousand 312 came out successful and the pass per centage
is 87.32. Among the successful candidates, 6860 are male
and 2623 are Female. The 1st division holders are 8450
while 2nd division holders are 6030 and 3rd division holders
are 832.

In COMMERCE stream, 16 thousand 776 appeared
the examination. Total 13 thousand 389 passed the examination
and the total pass per centage is 79.81. Of them, 6507
arte male and 2001 are female. The number of First division
holder is 3442, second division holder is 5120 and 3rd
division holder is 4827.
