It is the only college in Andhra Pradesh in the self-financing category to have gone for AICTE accreditation for a second time. Seven branches of engineering have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, AICTE, New Delhi, who have visited the campus. It is also the first ISO 9001:2000 certified Engineering Institution in the state.
CBIT had an international center (ic-CBIT) offering a BTECH-HND (Twinning Programme) in Electronics and Telecommunications in collaboration with Wolverhampton University and Dudley College, United Kingdom. This program is currently discontinued.
